Overview
On the Dashboard, store managers can create tiered fee strategies based on the basket subtotal. This allows the store to control how much the customer pays for delivery based on how much the customer spends. Fee settings can be managed on a store-by-store basis.
Refer to How to Edit Dispatch Fee Settings & Rules for information on how to manage this setting.
Fee Types & Amounts
Each rule must be defined with a fee type which are listed below.
Fee Type |
Definition |
Dispatch Fee |
Charge the customer the complete quoted delivery fee from the DSP without any markups or subsidies. This is the quote that is directly returned from the DSPs (delivery service provider). |
Fixed Markup |
Add a fixed incremental amount (e.g. $0.50) to the delivery quoted fee charged to the end customer Example: Dispatch quoted delivery fee of $5.50 will show up to the customer as a delivery fee of $6.00, if the fixed markup is $0.50 |
Fixed Subsidy |
Subtract a fixed amount (e.g. $2.00) from the delivery quoted fee charged to the end customer Example: Dispatch quoted delivery fee of $5.50 will show up to the customer as a delivery fee of $3.50, if the fixed subsidy is $2.00 |
Fixed Fee |
Specify a fixed amount (e.g. $8.99) to be charged to the end customer Example: Irrespective of the Dispatch quoted delivery fee, $8.99 will always show up to the customer during checkout |
Percentage Fee |
Charge delivery fee based on a fixed percent value (e.g. 10.00%) of the order subtotal Example: An order subtotal of $45 will be charged a delivery fee of $4.50 if the fee percentage is 10% |
