Rails Performance Tool Overview

Our Rails Performance tool provides Dashboard managers, with Reporting permission, access to near real-time ordering metrics to help track your marketplace ordering performance over time. In addition, you can analyze Rails order volumes and how they compare to direct order volumes (orders from your brand's website or app).

To access the Rails Performance tool click Performance found in the Rails section of the side navigation menu.

Brand managers can see data for all stores while other users can only see the stores they have been assigned to. The default page view displays ordering data for all stores, over the last seven completed days, and for all direct and indirect ordering providers.

Data Filters

The Edit Stores, Date Range, and Ordering Provider filters are used to customize data. Results will display in the charts and tables based on the defined filtering criteria. For example, users can select which stores they want to display, the date range, and the ordering providers they want to analyze.

  • Edit Stores: Select any combination of stores that are enabled and active. The default view is that all stores are selected.

  • Date Range: Select between today, yesterday, last 7 complete days, last 4 complete weeks, last 3 complete months, last 6 complete months, or a custom range. The default view shows the last 7 complete days.

  • Ordering Provider: Select any combination of ordering providers that are enabled under your Rails Settings. The default view is that all ordering providers are selected.

Note: When adjusting filters, all of the data on the page reloads to reflect the selected criteria

Metric Cards

The metric cards above the chart will show Total Revenue, Average Order, Order Count, and Average Orders per Store. The percentages in each card represent the increase or decrease for each metric based on the date range selected.

Chart Tabs

Toggle between the Revenue and Order Count tabs to compare various data sets.

Charts Menu

Select the menu icon to change views between a stacked bar, line, or pie chart. Users can also view charts in full screen and download them as a PNG, JPEG, or PDF file.

Date Range and Chart Views

After selecting a date range, users can dive deeper into that selection by choosing between Hourly<>Daily, Daily<>Weekly, or Weekly<>Monthly - depending on the date range. Charts automatically update to represent selection.

Tooltips contain relevant, detailed data that can be triggered by hovering over any of the visual representations in the charts. Tooltips are present across all chart tabs and views.

Data Tables

In the data tables section, information from the chart is shown. Columns are sortable (ascending/descending) by clicking on that specific column header.

Data Table Tabs and Menu

Toggle between the Ordering Provider or Stores data tables to compare different data sets all the way down to the store level. Users can download a CSV of the current selections by clicking on the menu icon on the top right corner.

Additional Details

  • The list of marketplace providers comes from Brand Settings → Rails Settings. Brand managers with RailsSettings permissions can select which marketplaces they want to display throughout the application including this page.

  • Users can interact with the charts by clicking on the providers if they want to quickly see data for just a subset of providers.

  • Data is streamed into the graph in near real-time (every 15 minutes), but the user will need to reload the page to see updated info.
