Select Payment Method and Submit Order
(Payment and Confirmation Pages)
The final step before submitting the order is selecting the way in which the caller will pay for the order. On this page, you will be able to select the payment method(s) for the order, split the order total across payment methods, and add a tip.
1. Select Payment Method Go back to Top
Select the payment method the caller wants to use to pay for their order.
NOTE: Not all billing methods shown here may not be supported by your brand.
Pay in Store Go back to Top
Select this payment method if the caller wishes to pay the store directly. If this payment method is selected, the store will be responsible for collecting payment from the caller before handing over their food.
NOTE: Pay in Store doesn't support tipping. If a tip exists in the caller's basket they opt to use 'Pay in Store' the tip amount will be removed from their basket.
NOTE: Pay in Store cannot be used with Dispatch handoff mode.
If Pay in Store is selected, then you can click Submit Order to submit the order, as no additional actions can be taken with this payment method.
Credit Card Go back to Top
Select this payment method if the caller wishes to provide their credit card information over the phone. If this payment method is selected, the caller's credit card will be billed by the store and the store will see the order as being paid. This payment method supports adding a tip and split payments.
Once you've entered the Credit Card information from the caller, click Save and Continue to validate the card and it to the order.
Gift Card Go back to Top
Select this payment method if the caller wishes to provide their gift card information over the phone. If this payment method is selected, the caller's gift card will be billed by the store and the store will be notified that payment has already been collected. This payment method supports adding a tip and split payments.
Once you've entered the Gift Card information from the caller, click Save and Continue to validate the card and it to the order. Please note that if the card is validated, the remaining balance of the Gift Card will be shown.
2. Add/Remove a Tip Go back to Top
If the caller opts to pay with either Credit Card or Gift Card, they can add a tip to their order.
You can either select a pre-defined %, or, enter a custom amount in the Tip field.
NOTE: Once a tip amount is entered, the tip will be saved to the caller's basket. If you wish to remove the tip select Other Amount and set the amount to '0.00'.
3. Split Order Total across Payment Methods Go back to Top
If the caller opts to pay with either Credit Card or Gift Card, they can add an additional Credit Card or Gift Card to the order and split the payment.
1. Once the initial card has been added, click Choose Payment Method under "Split your payment" to add an additional card.
2. In the Split Payment modal, select the card type you'd like to add from the dropdown to show the form fields.
3. Enter the payment information and click Save and Continue to validate the card and add it to the order.
4. Specify the amounts to be paid by each payment method. Please note that Switchboard will automatically split the amount evenly between payments methods to start with.
5. Select which card will be used to cover the tip and make any needed tip amount adjustments.
NOTE: Only one payment method can be used to pay for the tip.

Confirm that all payment information on the page is correct and matches the caller's expectations. After you've reviewed and verified the payment information, click Submit Order to submit the order.
If the order was successfully submitted you'll be shown the Order Confirmation page where all relevant order details will be shown.
NOTE: If the caller didn't provide their email address then they won't be sent an order confirmation from Switchboard. If the caller needs a receipt they'll need to request one from the store fulfilling the order.
