  • User must have a Dashboard account with 'Company Menu Admin' access

Enable Switchboard Settings

To start, you'll need to put in a request with the Olo Support Team to enable the appropriate channel settings and begin using Switchboard Menu Filters. Additionally, contact your CSM if you have questions or need assistance.

FAQs

Q: What is the default visibility of a new category or product?

A: When a category or product is created, it will be available on all visibility filters. As a reminder, categories and products are not available until they are actually added to the Store Menu.

Q: Can a category include a mix of brand-exclusive, Rails-exclusive, and Switchboard-exclusive products?

A: Yes, configure the category filter to include Branded Ordering Channels, Rails - External Ordering Partners (EOPs), and Switchboard. Then, select the appropriate visibility settings for each underlying product. Products inherit visibility settings from the category and category settings override any underlying product visibility. Similarly, modifiers inherit visibility settings from the product.

Q: What if I filter on a modifier group with a preselected option?

A: If a modifier group containing a preselected modifier is filtered out of an ordering platform, the order will be sent to the POS with the pre-selected option.

Q: What happens if a caller wants to reorder an order from Serve, Mobile Apps, API, etc. on Switchboard and an item in their basket isn’t Switchboard enabled?

A: The Switchboard agent will be able to reorder the previous order, but Switchboard will remove the unsupported product from the basket and notify the user. Conversely, if a Serve user wants to reorder a Switchboard order on another ordering app, and the order contains an item that’s only available on Switchboard, then the item will be removed from the basket and the user will be notified.
