You can use this checklist to guide you as you are setting up your Olo menu, in order to ensure that you are considering all of the important points that pertain to the menu build. Once you complete your menu build, you can use the checklist to confirm that you have met all of the relevant menu build requirements, to ensure that the menu is free of errors and ready to be added to live locations.

Categories

mceclip1.png Make times have been set for all categories (unless you are using Quote Time), so that customers can see time estimates when placing orders, and (if using the Olo Scheduler) to determine when the order should fire to the POS.

If the menu has Rails specific categories:

mceclip1.png Estimated Make Time has been used to allow for ASAP orders via marketplaces (Fixed Make Time and Catering Make Time only allows for scheduled orders, and therefore should not be used on categories carrying items that are offered on marketplaces)

mceclip1.png Short make times have been set, so that orders through marketplaces can be ASAP orders (eg: make times of 10 to 15 mins, as compared to 60 mins)

mceclip1.png The internal name field has been used to label Rails specific categories, to help distinguish them against other categories that are specific to branded ordering channels (eg: Burgers - Rails)

mceclip1.png Each Rails specific category has been filtered to only be visible to Rails partners with the use of menu filters

Products

mceclip1.png The base cost has been left at $0.00 for all products, since pricing pulls directly from each store's POS.

mceclip1.png All products that should never be priced at $0 within the store menu have the "$0.00 Warning in the Store Menu" label applied

mceclip1.png Every single product has been mapped to the correct POS ID, to eliminate order failures

If the menu has Rails specific products:

mceclip1.png The internal name field has been used to label Rails specific products, to help distinguish them against other products that are specific to branded ordering channels (eg: Cobb Salad - Rails)

mceclip1.png Each Rails specific product has been filtered to only be visible to Rails partners with the use of menu filters

Modifiers

mceclip1.png Modifier settings (refer to the "steps for adding a modifier" section of this article) for each modifier group have been set in a way that meets brand requirements as well as any POS requirements

mceclip1.png The cost field has been left at $0.00 for all modifiers, since relevant pricing will pull from each store's POS

mceclip1.png All modifiers that should never be priced at $0 within the store menu have the "$0.00 Warning in the Store Menu" label applied

mceclip1.png Every single modifier has been mapped to the correct POS ID, to eliminate order failures

If stores are integrated to Aloha, Brink, Silver, or Revel:

mceclip1.png The internal description field has been used to label each modifier group with the modifier group ID the choices within it are mapped to (eg: Drinks - Mod Group 13023), and also used to label any Rails specific groups

If stores are not integrated to Aloha, Brink, Silver, or Revel:

mceclip1.png The internal description field has been used to label each modifier group with the name of the product(s) it was built for (eg: Customize - Salmon & Swai Dinner), and also used to label any Rails specific groups

If the menu has Rails specific modifier groups/choices:

mceclip1.png Each Rails specific modifier group/choice has been filtered to only be visible to Rails partners with the use of menu filters
