Description of Issue:

Error 68 - (0xC0068068) – The Employee is currently locked on another terminal

2017-10-24 08:40:46.4594|2017-10-24 12:40:46.4594|WARN|Error trying to login to Aloha System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0xC0068068): Exception from HRESULT: 0xC0068068

Technical Explanation:

This error indicates that the interface user that Olo uses to place orders is currently locked on another terminal and can not be used to place this order.

This can be caused by a physical employee logging in to a terminal using the interface employee user, either for Olo check maintenance or any number of other reasons.

Solution:

Assign the interface user a login password.  This will need to be assigned on a FOH terminal just like any other employee password assignment.  The password will need to be communicated to the POS Specialist at Olo so the necessary settings can be configured above store.

Caveat:

This solution is on a store by store basis.  You can have the same password for each location, but will have to be implemented on a FOH terminal per location.
