What is Google My Business?

Google My Business is a free tool to help manage your restaurant’s online presence across Google, including through Search and Maps. Creating an account and updating your restaurant information can help customers find your location easily.

Be sure to update your ordering link and drive customers to your branded online ordering site. Search for your restaurant location to see what information is shown to your customers.




Benefits of using Google My Business


Manage your information

Manage the information that Google users see when they search for your restaurant. Businesses that verify their information with Google My Business are twice as likely to be considered reputable by consumers. When people find your restaurant, make sure they have access to information like your hours, website link, and street address.

Interact with customers and attract new ones

Read and respond to reviews from customers, and post photos of your restaurant. According to Google, businesses that add photos to their listings receive 42% more requests for driving directions on Google Maps and 35% more clicks through to their websites than businesses that don’t.

Manage your listing directly from Google

If you're signed in with your Google My Business account, you can manage your listing directly from Google Search. Just search for your restaurant and you can enhance your listing, share posts, see customer reviews, and more.

You'll also see personalized updates (like newly added photos from customers) and suggestions to help you improve your online presence (like updating your hours or responding to customers). This dashboard is only visible to owners and managers of the listing.

Edit your listing on Google

Make sure your information is accurate and up-to-date. You can change your address, hours, contact info, and photos to help potential customers find you and learn more. Be sure to add or claim your business, then verify your business listing so it's eligible to appear on Search, Maps, and other Google services. Your edits won’t appear live on Google until you verify your listing. If you manage 10 or more locations, you can upload and edit business information in bulk. Using local URLs

Your restaurant listing can include links to specific actions such as online ordering. These links make it easier for customers to take action directly from Google Search or Maps. For more information on adding URLs check out this article.

In some cases, links to certain third-party booking services will appear automatically on your listing. These links cannot be edited in Google My Business.
