Setup Tipping by Handoff Method

Once your brand has enabled tipping, stores have the option to choose to set up tipping specifically for each handoff method they use. This can vary on a store-by-store basis. Once the tipping details are selected, guests will see a box to leave a tip on their order before they checkout.

To enable this feature, follow the steps below.

  1. Login to the Dashboard and select Store Settings under the Settings box on the left-hand side of the homepage

    • Select a store if you have access to multiple locations
  2. Select Store Information

  3. From here, scroll down and select the handoff methods from the Allow Tipping For dropdown that you want tipping enabled for. 

    NOTE: The options for your store will be different than the image below depending on the handoff methods you have set up.

If you're a brand manager and want to activate this feature, an Olo employee needs to first grant you access. Submit a ticket on the Help Center requesting tipping be enabled across all handoff methods. Brands with a third party UI may require additional time to configure these settings.
