Objective
An Olo Brand or Vendor has menu mismatches and wants to know how to find and correct these mismatches to prevent failed orders.
Solution
This article outlines how to identify mismatches for Micros integrated Olo customers and how to troubleshoot those mismatches to prevent failed orders. Section 1 will outlines how to resolve mismatches at the brand level. Section 2 will outline the same process for specific Vendors.
Section 1 - Brand Level Mismatches
Step 1
The first step to addressing mismatches is to use the mismatch report. This report is found in the Dashboard under brand settings and the mismatch report tab.
This will display the mismatch report. The locations are listed along the left-hand side and the total number of mismatches for that vendor is listed on the far right. In order to view the detail of the mismatches click on the small arrow to the left of the vendor name and the items will display below. Each mismatch will show the name and the ID information.
Step 2
Search the POS for the object number found on the mismatch report. If the item is not in the database it will need to be added. If the item is in the Database but has a different object number than the number listed on the mismatch report then the Olo menu mapping needs to be updated to use the correct object number from the POS database.
Step 3
After all necessary adjustments have been made run the price updater tool to update the mismatch report and confirm that the mismatch is resolved. The price updater can be run manually in Dashboard under brand settings then the price sync tool or the price sync updates every day at 1:30 PM and 8:30 PM UTC automatically.
Section 2 - Vendor Level mismatches
Step 1
Vendor mismatches can found in the POS settings under the Update Prices tab. If there are any mismatches for the location it will look like the image below. Clicking on the word mismatches will expand the list to show the menu item name and object number.
Step 2
Search the POS for the object number found in the mismatch. If the item is not in the database it will need to be added. If the item is in the Database but has a different object number than the number listed on the mismatch report then the Olo menu mapping needs to be updated to use the correct object number from the POS database.
Step 3
After the necessary adjustments have been made, run the price updater tool to update the mismatches and confirm that the mismatch is resolved. The price updater can be run manually from POS settings under the Update Prices tab otherwise the price sync updates every day at 1:30 PM and 8:30 PM UTC automatically.
