Aloha POS: Error 11 - (0xC0068011) - Invalid Queue


Technical Teams, Developers, Account Managers, Database Administrators, and Product Teams.

Description of Issue:

When placing an order from Olo to Aloha POS, Aloha responds with an error that looks like this:

2018-01-30 09:37:03.4536|2018-01-30 16:37:03.4536|INFO|COM error when committing order 111552680
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0xC0068011): Exception from HRESULT: 0xC0068011

Technical Explanation:

While this list is not exhaustive, this happens in these scenarios:

  • for QS, the queue being used for this transaction is not configured in POS.
  • for TS (does not use queues), the queue on the Olo side is not configured as "0". 
  • delivery is enabled but not used and there is no delivery queue selected in ATO.

Steps to Resolve:

1) Scenario 1: Queue not configured in Aloha QS

  • Add the Queue ID in CFC> Maintenance > System Settings > Order Entry Queue "General"
  • Save/refresh
  • Restart OloAlohaService

2) Scenario 2: queue on the Olo side is not configured as "0"

  • Olo Team must configure the Aloha Queue Configuration Variable to "0" for TS locations.
  • Restart OloAlohaService.

3) Scenario 3: No delivery queue selected in ATO when Delivery is enabled:

You may do one of the following to resolve:

  • Disable Delivery in ATO as shown "enabled here"
  • Save/Refresh
  • Restart OloAlohaService


  • Create a Queue in CFC > Maintenance > System Settings > Order Entry Queue (save) and then add as shown in this image.
  • Save/Refresh
  • Restart OloAlohaService
