Olo SSOS Installation Manual

Technical Teams, Customer Success Teams, and Client's Software Installation Person

Description of issue:

Olo services are not installed on the Windows device that will control the online orders.

Solution:

This document outlines the steps necessary for installing the Olo SSOS program onto a windows device.

Step 1:

  • After opening the OloSSOS installer program your computer screen should be the same as Figure 1.
  • Click “Next” at the bottom.
  • Proceed to Step 2.

  • Completing Step 1 will bring you to Figure 2. 
  • Confirm the file path in the textbox “Install Olo SSOS to:.” This textbox will be filled initially but can be altered by clicking “Change….”
  • Click “Next” at the bottom.
  • Proceed to Step 3.

  • Completing Step 2 will bring you to Figure 3. 
  • Enter the username and password for your store in the appropriate textbox
    • Please note this is not the same username and password as your my.olo.com account.  This username and password are specific to the location you are installing SSOS on.  Please see “Step 3 continued”.
  • Click “Next” at the bottom.
  • Proceed to Step 4.

  1. Once logged in to the Olo dashboard, click on “Settings” then “Store Settings.”
  2. Select your store(s) and click on “POS Settings.”
  3. Click on the “Reset Password” Tab.
  4. Your POS Username needed for Figure 3 will be located here.
  5. If you do not remember your password needed for Figure 3, click “Generate New Password.” Highlight over the black text and copy the password.  See Figure 5. (you may have to wait 1-2 minutes for new password to update)

NOTE: If you do not see the “Reset Password” tab please email help@olo.com to request it.   See “myolohelp.com” if you need help navigating your Olo Dashboard.  

  • Enter your username and password for your store in the appropriate textbox (Figure 3).
  • Click “Next” at the bottom.
  • Proceed to Step 4.

  • Completing Step 3 will bring you to Figure 6.
  • Click “Install” at the bottom.  After clicking “Install,” you will be asked if you want to allow the following program to install software on this computer.  Click “Yes” to begin installation.
  • Wait for the installation to finish. See Figure 7.
  • Proceed to Step 5.

  • Completing Step 4 will bring you to Figure 8.
  • Your installation should be complete now.
  • Click “Finish” at the bottom.
  • Proceed to Step 6.

  • You should find the “Olo SSOS” icon on your desktop.
  • The “Olo SSOS” icon will also appear in your task bar, in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen.  See Figure 10.

  • If you still cannot find the “Olo SSOS” icon search for it in your programs/applications.
  • Open the “Olo SSOS” program by double-clicking on it.
  • Proceed to Step 7.

  • Completing Step 6 will bring you to Figure 11.
  • Choose your printer type by selecting Epson POS, Standard Printer, or Alt. Standard Printer.
  • Select the specific printer in the “Printer Name” box and click “Print Test Page” to make sure that this is the correct, functioning printer.
  • After confirming the printer, click “OK” at the bottom.
