The purpose of this article is to provide the necessary steps for all levels of technical knowledge to be able to restart the Olo Service and Olo Update Service when requested to do so by an Olo Team Member.
The solution includes the steps to restart each of the Olo Windows Services that are running on the Windows 10 device that the Olo Software is installed on.
On the device that the Olo software is installed on, find the search box as shown below in the bottom left corner of the screen.
Type "Services" in the search box as shown below.
Select the "Services" icon from the "Best Matches" list that will appear above the search box.
In the new window that opens named Services, find the Olo Service in the list on the right.
Note: The Olo Service will have the word of your POS Integration in the name found in this window. Examples include Olo Aloha for Aloha Integrations, Olo Micros for Micros, and Olo SSOS for SSOS.
Highlight the service by clicking on the name and then the "Restart" option in the middle of the Services Window.
Note: If you do not have the options for restart as shown in the figure below, please log into Windows with an Administrator account or contact your designated IT Profession for assistance in getting access to this option.
Repeat the steps of highlighting and clicking restart for the Olo Update Service - if requested to do so by the Olo team member.
